Special Notes Concerning Suffolk County Parks:

Suffolk County Parks have three types of campsites:

Family campsites – for use by individual family units. These are not for use by Cub Scout unit

Group/Club Campsites – these are for use by large groups such as Cub Scout Packs. Campers may include multiple family units, including siblings.

Youth Campsites – for use by “Youth Groups” only. These sites require that not more than one adult per youth is present on the site at any time. In addition, only the registered Webelos and a parent may camp as part of the group on these sites. Siblings or other Cub Scouts are not permitted to camp on these sites. Cub Scouts may not camp as a Den, and are therefore not permitted to use the Youth Campsites.

Youth campsites in all of the Suffolk County Parks are available for Webelos camping.

      • Packs planning an event where the Cub Scouts come for the day and only the Webelos spend the overnight will not be allowed to do their daytime activities in the Youth Campsites. Other arrangements must be made for day time activities.

      • Beginning this year Suffolk County Parks will require a valid BSA Tour Permit to be presented at check-in. The Baloo trained leader identified on the Tour Permit must also be present for the campout.
